Fake News Detector
Share an article from your browser, follow a link, or paste text into the app to check. SiftMate will analyse the content and show you what to pay attention to.
Every day we are flooded with hundreds of pieces of information. We don't always have the time or means to verify whether what we read is credible. Sometimes a single false report is enough to make a bad decision or pass on misinformation to those close to us.
Verifying information shouldn't require specialist knowledge. It should be simple and available to everyone.
We don't pass judgement. We show observations and signals so you can form your own assessment of what you read.
We don't collect personal data. We don't know who you are. Our goal is to help you — not to track you.
SiftMate will check the content you find online and assess its credibility. You can do this in several ways — choose whichever is most convenient at any given moment.
Reading an article or post and want to check it quickly? Tap the "Share" button in your browser or app and select SiftMate from the list. The app will automatically fetch the content and show you its observations.
Spot a link inside an article and want to verify its content? Long-press the link, tap "Share link" and choose SiftMate. The app will automatically fetch the content and show you its observations.
Someone sent you content in a message, or you see a post that can't be shared as a link? Copy the text and paste it directly into SiftMate. The app will verify that content for you.
When you share a link or text, the app analyses the material in two steps: an automatic initial analysis and an optional full verification carried out by AI.
Results may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated information. AI analyses content based on available data — it cannot access every source in the world and cannot verify every fact. Treat results as one of many opinions that helps you form your own assessment of what you encounter online every day, not as a final and definitive verdict.

No — and that's important. Results are observations and an opinion generated by artificial intelligence. AI is not infallible. Treat results as an aid to assessment, not as a final verdict.
Initial observations are always free. After installing the app, you receive a free pool of full verifications. Once depleted, a full verification of a specific article, post, or text may require a one-time fee. You will see the price before deciding to purchase.
