Data Deletion
SiftMate respects your right to privacy and allows you to delete all your data directly from the app - without needing to contact us.
What data do we store?
SiftMate requires no registration or login. We don't know your name, email address or phone number. We only store:

| Device identifier | On Android: a persistent identifier provided by the Android system (Android ID). On iOS: a randomly generated UUID stored in the secure Keychain. Not linked to your name, email or other personal data. |
| Free verification counter | Number of free full verifications used on this device. |
| Check history | Links or texts you submitted for analysis, along with the results. |
| Payment data | Transaction ID, amount and currency (we do not store card payment details). |
| Ratings and feedback | Ratings submitted for verification results (thumbs up / thumbs down). |
How to delete your data?
You can do this at any time directly from the app:
- Open the SiftMate app and go to the Settings screen (menu icon in the top right corner).
- In the Privacy section you will find the "Delete my data" button.
- The app will show you what will be deleted and ask for confirmation twice.
- After confirming, all your data will be immediately and permanently deleted from our servers.
What exactly do we delete?
After confirmation we delete all data associated with your device:
- All checks and analysis results
- Payment history (linked to the device)
- Ratings and feedback submitted for verifications
Payment data may be retained for up to 5 years from the transaction date - this is required by applicable accounting regulations. This data is used solely for audit purposes and is not accessible to other users.
Device identifier and free verification counter - retained. To prevent abuse (re-farming free verifications after deletion), the device identifier and its usage counter are retained in our database after a deletion request, but are deactivated (no longer linked to any new data). This processing is based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Inactive records are permanently deleted after 24 months.
Data retained after automatic expiry
Even without manual deletion, your data expires automatically:
- Analysis results - after 365 days from the check
- Verification error logs - after 90 days
